The production of Muga Mekhela Sador is a traditional and intricate process, involving skilled craftsmen and weavers. The silk is first extracted from the cocoons of Muga silkworms, which are indigenous to Assam. The silk is then spun into fine yarns, which are woven into the intricate patterns and designs of the garment.

Care Instruction : 

• When washing for the first time, hand wash each item individually in cold water.

• Allow to dry in the darkness.
• Avoid using hot water to wash cotton goods.
• Don’t machine-wash items made of silk. If necessary, wash your hands with a gentle detergent.
• Dry cleaning is highly advised for silk products to maintain their natural quality.
• Always dry silk items in the dark. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunshine or high temperatures.
